Summer is just around the corner, and we are ready to get our art on.
I know what you're thinking: "But wait—my kid is a 'put everything in their mouth' kind of baby."
I get it! But this simple sensory activity will have you painting all summer long.
Simply add natural food coloring to your yogurt until your desired color is achieved, then set up a canvas, a paint brush, and let them go wild! I used greek yogurt for its thickness and natural food coloring so the kids could eat away guilt free! We set the kids up with a cheap canvas from the dollar store, a few shades of yogurt paint and a paint brush. They had so much fun. The less I fussed the less they ate! Progress.
We know that this isn't the best way to avoid this type of behavior forever—but it does give us an activity where we can allow them to explore without any intervention. And if you're looking for a way to keep your toddler busy while you gets some work done), it's totally worth trying out!
